Description

As we move through Spring, we examine the spiritual dimensions of the land and the many ways we interact with it as we seek to nurture life-giving connections. The spring ephemeral wildflowers will be in bloom, and we'll see these amazing plants up close. We'll look at their natural history, their importance to insects such as bumble bees and ants, and trends that threaten their populations. We'll also consider the food we eat and our relationships with those who are entrusted to grow our food and steward our farmland. Many ruptures in this fundamental web exists, but each is an opportunity for reconciliation through our  individual and communal choices.

Facilitated by MEEC staff who are joined by Sr. Christine Pratt, an Ursuline of Brown County who will share from her decades of experience ministering with and to Ohio's rural communities. She'll share ways we can build a "community of care" for the land and people rooted in mercy, justice and love.

We'll gather in the Madeleine Room in the Chaminade Building at Mount Saint John. For a map and directions, click here.
